After a really long summer here in Australia, the cold weather finally arrived.

When it comes to winter, knit sweaters are my go to because it’s comfortable and warm.

This is my current favourite one from Veronika Maine. It comes in 2 other colours, green and black.

Here are some of my favourite ways to rock a knit sweaters.

Crisp and Golden

It’s finally that time of the year, the leaves are falling, it’s crisp and golden. Autumn has arrived and it’s time to update the wardrobe for the colder weather.

Surprisingly here in Adelaide, the start of this Autumn has been pretty good. The sun is out, the weather is warm.

Minimalist and Smart

Some days you just don’t feel like dressing up to much, put on many accessories, makeup, etc and this look will be perfect for it. Casual but smart, my favourite! It’s simple and minimal but yet still looks presentable.

Wear you favourite oversized or loosed t-shirt with a midi skirt, pair it with your comfiest heels and simple clutch or bag.

I went with a simple black and white theme with a touch of gold on my watch and sunnies.

TOP from ZARA (it’s and old ZARA man tee)

BOTTOM from Pilgrim Clothing (it’s the Jessie Skirt! Just like my name 😉)

HEELS from Charles and Keith (pssst it’s on sale ladies!!!)

CLUTCH from Style Secret (want a new bag but don’t want to buy it? Go check them out for handbag hire)

RAY-BAN SUNNIES from Sunglass Hut

Off shoulder for summer

Off shoulder top is a must for the coming summer days, it can give you a simple casual look but also give you a more chic look by adding some accessories. I’m pairing it with a black lace up hem jeans and black mules, wearing the same black colour to elongated my legs.

My love for sh(i/o)rt

It is summer in Australia and it calls for a good shirt and a pair of denim shorts. Summer in here can get pretty hot and all I want is to put on as minimal clothing as possible.

A good linen or cotton shirt will be perfect for this weather. Im wearing my favourite bralette under to give some extra touch and pair it with a denim shorts. This will give you a casual but stylish look for summer, plus I’m wearing my current favourite metallic flat shoes from Therapy Shoes that will brighten up your look, also my new bag from Charles and Keith that looks small but has more space than you think.

How I style my slip dress!

Summer is coming really soon in Australia and a slip dress will be one of my go to’s for the hot weather, it is easy to wear and easy to dress it up or down.

I found this plain black slip dress from Niki Belle but I can’t find it on their website, so if you are in Adelaide go check it out in store 😉

6 ways I style my slip dress

1. Keep it simple with heels and some jewellery

Valentino heels from The Style Set (Muse Boutique). It’s one of the most comfortable heels I have! These heels are on sale at Muse Boutique and they have some other colours as well.

Earrings are from Lovisa which is one of my most favourite jewellery stores. They have really good affordable jewellery and accessories.

2. Go casual with shorts and slippers! And don’t forget to put sunnies on 🕶

Wearing my black denim shorts from Neuw Denim that I got a while ago. Denim shorts are a must have for summer! I can’t find the exact shorts that I have but they have a similar one called Lola Short.

My furry slippers are from Tony Bianco. They come in nude with the fur, and plain black or white. These are really comfy slippers that still looks cool and stylish!

3. If you don’t like wearing shorts, go rock your jeans or pants 👖

My denim jeans are from Ware Denim that I got from Asos. I got this quite a while ago so I can’t fine it anymore, but I found a similar one at Asos.

4. Have your denim jacket handy!

If you live in Australia, you know how the weather can be. One day it’s sunny and hot, then the next day it’s rainy and cold! This could even happened in one day, so always have your denim jacket handy!

My denim jacket is from Stradivarius and it’s been with me since high school! It still fits good though, because I’m actually skinnier now. I found similar denim jacket from Showpo

Adidas original sneaker with rose gold stripes that you can find on JD Sports.

5. Mix it with skirt! 💃🏼

Getting girly with this ruffle skirt and rocking the gingham trend. I don’t wear ruffle skirt much but I thought why not for this summer, and I’m actually loving it! I think I will have more skirts filling up my wardrobe from now on.

This really cute midi length gingham ruffle skirt is from Dissh. This is my first purchase from them but I’m loving it so much. Definitely will be becoming one of my favourite shop!

6. Girls night out or date night 🥂

Dressing this slip dress up with some flaire pants. I’ve been loving flaire pants or wide leg pants since last year, and I think it still gonna be with me for quite a while 😉

These white flaire pants are from Bardot. I couldn’t find the exact white one but I found something similar in black from Bardot as well.

So, that’s the 6 ways I style a slip dress. I would like to hear your ideas on how you style yours or if you have any suggestions for me. Please leave a comment and don’t forget to like and share.

Thank you!
